VisEng was formed in January 2000 and specialises in the development and implementation of rapid experimental testing techniques. Considerable expertise and experience in the field of experimental testing has been built up over a 25 year period from knowledge gained in the marine, aerospace and automotive industries. New and innovative rapid prototyping technologies have also been developed in conjunction with the University of Warwick which further enhance our capabilities. Using these rapid experimental techniques, customers can save considerable time and money on product development cycles by ensuring early validation of designs.
Consultancy
VisEng offers a comprehensive consultancy service, using the very latest experimental techniques, for determining stresses in components or structures and modelling fluid flows. The latest fully automated photoelastic analysis equipment is used, and VisEng has particular expertise in the field of residual stress measurement of glass. Many quality issues can be resolved using this technology. In addition to stress analysis, VisEng can provide highly detailed flow analysis solutions using rapid prototype models of complex components such as pumps, valves and engine cooling passages.

Specialist experimental testing equipment available from VisEng includes automated polariscopes for sophisticated photoelastic stress analysis from Stress Photonics Inc, as well as our new Flow-Tek CCD portable flow visualisation system.
